Zaya Wade (née Zion Malachi Airamis Wade; born May 29, 2007) is a member of the Wade Family.
Biography
Wade is the daughter of former NBA player Dwyane Wade and his ex-wife Siohvaughn Funches. After her parents divorced in 2007, her father married actress Gabrielle Union in 2014. She has an older brother, named Zaire, a younger paternal half-brother, named Xavier, and a younger paternal half-sister, named Kaavia, who is her half-sister through her father's marriage to Gabrielle Union.
Wade was born as the biological son of Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches, therefore being assigned male at birth, and was originally named, Zion Malachi Airamis Wade, before her transition as female. After she came out as a transgender at age 12 in 2020, she legally changed her name to Zaya Wade and her gender identity to female.
