Spencer Rivers (born June 27,1995) is an American former college basketball player who played for the UC Irvine Anteaters men's basketball team of Big West Conference. He is the son of former NBA player and the current Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers, and the younger brother of current NBA player Austin Rivers.
High School
Like his older brother Austin Rivers, Rivers played basketball at Winter Park High School in Winter Park, Florida. While in high school, Rivers led his basketball team to two state championship teams at Winter Park High. He averaged 10.1 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds as a senior for Coach Donald Blackmon, top-scoring game was 25 points vs. Central, and scored in double figures in 14 games as a senior.
College
In his freshmen year, Rivers shot .286 from the field. She was starter for three games of the season, averaged 10 minutes per game, he missed the season was granted a medical hardship by the NCAA. Holiday played in 34 games and earned five starts for the Bruins. She averaged 5.9 points per game in 9.3 minutes per contest while shooting 34.7 percent from the field, and career-high 53.8 percent from the charity stripe. He recorded four double-figure games.
Personal Life
Rivers is the son of Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers and Kristen Rivers (née Campion),and has an older sister, Callie, and two older brothers, Jeremiah and Austin. All three of his sblings are athletes as well: Jeremiah played basketball for Maine Red Claws, Callie played volleyball for the University of Florida and Austin is a member of the Houston Rockets.
