Siohvaughn Funches (formerly Wade; born September 6, 1981) is an American public speaker, conselor, author from Chicago, Illinois. She was formerly the wife of National Basketball Association player Dwyane Wade.
Born in Chicago, Funches is the daughter of Frank and Darlene Funches. Her only sibling, Garrica LeAnna Woods died as a teenager. Her parents divorced when she was 3 years old. Funches graduated from Harold L. Richards High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Following graduation, she moved to Wisconsin to live with her boyfriend and attend Marquette University.
Funched graduated from University of Phoenix in 2009 with a degree in psychology. She then earned her professional certification in counseling from Capellla University. She studied at The John Marshall Law School until 2014.
In 2002, she married Miami Heat basketball player Dwyane Wade, her high school sweetheart. The couple had two kids: Zaire Blessing Dwyane (b. 2002) and their daughter Zaya Wade (b. 2007). She filed for a divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences", which was granted in 2010 after a lengthy and acrimonious court battle.
