Bryant is the oldest daughter of former NBA player Joe Bryant and Pamela Cox Bryant. She has two younger siblings: Shaya, and Kobe (1978–2020). She is also the maternal niece of basketball player John "Chubby" Cox. Bryant was raised Roman Catholic. When Bryant was a child, her father left the NBA and moved her family to Rieti in Italy to continue playing professional basketball.
On January 26, 2020, Kobe, Bryant’s younger brother, died in a helicopter crash, along with Bryant's 13-year-old niece Gianna and seven others.
