Portala George (born July 14, 1984) is an American former college volleyball player who played for the Cal State San Bernardino women's volleyball team of California Collegiate Athletic Association Conference.
Career[]
George attended her first two years of college at Antelope Valley College before transferring to California State, San Bernardino. In her freshmen year, George played 42 matches and 150 matches. She averaged 3.347 kills per game, 0.3099 hitting perectange, and averaged 4.449 points per game. She tallied 502 kills, 12 aces, 220 blocks, and 738 points. As a sophomore, George played a total of 82 games. Her numbers improved as she avergaged 3.683 kills, 0.4624 hitting perectange, and averaged 5.311 point per game. She tallied 302 kills, 16 aces, 125 blocks,435.5 points In her career at Antelope Valley College George played a total of 150 games, she finished with career totals of 804 kills, 28 aces, 345 blocks, and 1,173.5 points.
Personal Life[]
George is the daughter of Paul and Paulette George. Both of her younger siblings are basketball players: Teiosha played small forward at Pepperdine University and Paul is the starting small forward for the Oklahoma City Thunder. Portala has three children, Devin, Jayla and Tyson.
