Early Life

Zegarowski is the daughter of Zach and Mandy Zegarowski, and has three brothers: Michael, Marcus, and Max. Her parents played college basketball and were basketball coaches in Massachusetts. Her brothers are basketball players: Michael and Marcus are NBA players and Max plays shooting guard for Franklin Pierce.

High School

Zegarowski attended her first two years of high school at Ipswich High School in Ipswich, Massachusetts, where she was coached by her mother Mandy Zegarowski. She led the Ipswich Tigers to a 37-9 record including two Cape Ann League titles, and was named the 2013 Salem News Player of the Year. She transferred to Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and reclassified as a sophomore. While playing in a scrimmage, she sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury and did not play for the team again.  As a junior, she averaged 18 points per game and five assists, but Brewster finished 6-17 on the season.

As a senior, she later transferred and graduated from Tilton School in Tilton, New Hampshire, where her team won New England Prep School Athletic Conference (NEPSAC) championship. In addition to basketball, she also participated in soccer and track and field. Before her lone season began at Tilton School, Zegarowski committed to the Bryant University over offers from Villanova, Cornell, Yale, Colgate and UMass Lowell.
