Julie Simmons (née Blake, formerly Tribe; born January 21, 1958) is an Australian socialite and is the wife of former basketball player David Simmons. She is also the mother of current NBA player Ben Simmons.
Simmons is a native of Australia. In the 1980's, she worked as a Melbourne Tigers cheerleader. Simmons has four children two daughters Melissa, Emily, and two sons Liam and Sean with her first husband. Emily is the wife of NFL player Michael Bush.
She met her second husband, professional basketball player David Simmons, in 1989, and married him in 1994. Together, they have two children, daughter Olivia (b. 1991) and son Ben (b. 1996). Her son, Ben, played college basketball for Louisiana State University (LSU), and was selected with the first overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers.
