Denise Reann Garcia (born April 14, 1996) is an American former college soccer player who played for the Seattle Redhawks and UC Riverside Highlanders.

Early Life

Born to Gary and Patricia Garcia in the Los Angeles County suburb of West Covina, California, Garcia was raised with her younger brother Gary and younger sister Dayna, in the nearby suburb of Chino Hills.

Garcia graduated from Chino Hills High School in June 2014, was a four-year varsity soccer player at the school. She helped lead the Panthers to the 5A state title in 2006 with 20 goals and 16 assists. The team finished second in the state championships during her sophomore year. She was a three-time first-team high school All-America, three-time All-State selection, three-time 5A soccer MVP, and the 2010 NSCAA National High School Player of the year. In June 2010, she earned Parade All-American honors.

As a youth, Garcia also played club soccer for the Legends FC. With the team, she won four state titles.

College

In college he played basketball in freshman year , Garcia played for the Seattle Redhawks from 2014 to 2015. She scored nine goals and reorded six assists for the Redhawks. From 2015 to 2016, she played for the UC Riverside Highlanders, where she scored 14 goals and registered 14 assists in 36 appearances, holding the school record for career assists per game.

Personal Life

Garcia has an on-again, off-again relationship with New Orleans Pelicans basketball player Lonzo Ball, her high school sweetheart. On July 22, 2018 she gave birth to a baby girl, Zoey Christina Ball.
