Bruce Beal (December 27, 1987) is an American former college football player who played for the Northern Illinois Huskies of Mid-American Conference.
Biography[]
Beal attended at St. John Vianney High School in Kirkwood, Missouri, where he played both offensive guard and linebacker and was twice named first team all-conference on both offense and defense and All-State. At St. John Vianney, he played baritone saxophone in the Symphonic and Jazz Bands. Beal enrolled in the Alabama State University, where he played for the Alabama State Hornets football team from 2006 to 2010. While playing for the Hornets, Beal was twice named as a first-team SWAC selection, and also receiving honorable mention and second-team SWAC honors. He was a first-team All-American in 2008 in recognition of his successful season. Beal started on the offensive line in all of his four years with the Hornets.
Personal Life[]
Beal is the son of Bobby and Besta Beal, and has four brothers: Brandon, Bradley, Byron and Bryon. All four are athletes: Brandon played tight end at Northern Illinois; Bradley is a member of the Washington Wizards, and Bryon and Byron played offensive linemen and defensive line at Lindenwood University.
