Besta Beal (née Stokes; born July 23, 1959) is an American former college basketball player who played for the Kentucky State Thorobreds women's basketball team of Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Personal Life[]
Beal is the athletic director at University City High School in St. Louis, Missouri. She married former Kentucky State football player Bobby Beal, her college sweetheart. Other than her middle son Bradley who plays for the Washington Wizards, all the Beal children are former football players: Brandon played tight end at Northern Illinois; Bruce played offensive lineman at Alabama State; and Bryon and Byron played offensive linemen and defensive line at Lindenwood University.
