Adrian Jamal Williams (born February 20, 2000) is an American basketball player for the Northeastern Huskies.
Basketball Career[]
Williams is the son of Earl and Rosa Williams, and has an older paternal half-brother, Michael, who is a former NBA player. During his senior season he averaged 12 points, nine rebounds and five blocks at Cambridge, helping the Red Raiders to a 23-2 record and a second-straight south sectional tournament final appearance. He finished the season with a school record 177 steals. In the section final, he recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. During his senior year, Cambridge held their opponents to below 45 points per game. He was named to the 2018 Boston Herald Dream Team, the 2018 ESPN Boston MIAA All-State Boys Basketball First Team, the 2018 ESPN Boston All-Defensive First Team and the 2018 Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic Team. He is also a four-year letterwinner at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
College career []
On November 20, 2018, Williams scored a freshman season-high 22 points in a 100–89 win over Xavier. As a freshman, he averaged 7.3 points and 2.9 rebounds per game, earning CAA All-Freshman Team honors. In the following season, Ballock moved into a starting role. On March 9, 2019, he scored a career-high 39 points, shooting 11-of-12 from three-point range, in a 91–78 victory over DePaul. He broke the program record and tied the CAA record for three-pointers in a game, while setting the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) single-game record for three-point percentage with at least 12 attempts. As a sophomore, Williams averaged 11.1 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.
